We take Health and Safety very seriously. It is the company’s intention that work will be carried out in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions and all reasonably practicable measures taken to avoid risk to it’s employees or others who may be affected.

Management and supervisory staff have the responsibility for implementing CJ Roofing Ltd’s Health & Safety Policy throughout the company and must ensure that health and safety considerations are always given priority in planning and day to day supervision of work.

The management and staff of the company monitor the operation of this policy and to assist them in this respect, the company appoints a safety supervisor to visit sites and workplaces to give advice on the requirements of the relevant statutory provisions and safety matters generally. This includes updating and any changes in Health and Safety law resulting to our works.

 

Asbestos

 

We offer a complete service for the safe removal and the treatment of Asbestos cement based roofing products, subject to inspection of existing roofs covering.

The hazards associated with asbestos-containing materials have been widely publicised in recent years by The Health & Safety Executive. Following the introduction of stringent statutory regulations, The Control of Asbestos Regulation 2006 (CAR 2006), it is essential that building owners, occupiers and facilities managers amongst others, are fully aware of their responsibilities as ’Duty Holders’ with regard to the management of asbestos in buildings’ to ensure compliance with CAR 2006.
